ICSSR-NRCT(Thailand) Exchange of Scholar Programme 2020

The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Bangkok have a collaboration for research in the field of social science research. 

The ICSSR invites research proposals from Indian scholars (faculties from public funded research institutes/universities/colleges) engaged in social science research who may require visiting Thailand for collection of research material, consultation and interaction with experts, etc. for their specific research on the given themes.  The theme of the research proposal should be based on any of these priority themes related to India-Thailand joint interests/concerns.

1. Agricultural Transformation

2. Integrated Health and Wellness

3. Trade in Goods and Services

4. ICT in Education and Research

5. History, Culture and Tourism

6. India-Thailand Security Concerns in Indo-Pacific Context

The Ph.D. students are not eligible to apply under this programme.

The duration of the visit would depend on numbers of scholars selected and expected to be undertaken during the financial year 2020-21.  The period of travelling to Thailand can be adjusted according to the situation developing out of COVID-19.

Interested scholars are requested to submit two copies each of their bio-data (upto two pages), detailed proposal (in about 5000 words), nature of work to be done in Thailand. Applicants should furnish the details of the contacts established with the experts and research institutes/universities in the visiting country with complete mailing address, phone, fax, email etc.  The research proposal should be neatly typed on A-4 size paper.
