The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, serves as the apex institution for promoting and funding social science research across the country. Dedicated to advancing knowledge, fostering understanding, and informing policymaking in the social sciences, ICSSR plays a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s intellectual landscape.

General terms and conditions:
1. Posts may be increased/decreased at the discretion of the Competent Authority of ICSSR.
2. The terms and conditions of engagement of the Research Associates will be in accordance with the ICSSR’s policies.
3. ICSSR reserves the right not to fill up the post as advertised, if circumstances so warrant.
4. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the post.
5. This engagement does not confer any right on the applicant to claim either continuous employment or permanency in future.
6. The candidates must satisfy their eligibility requirements before visiting for a walk-in interview.
7. The nature of engagement is purely temporary for a period of six months extendable based on performance and further requirements of ICSSR.
8. The selected candidate shall have to enter into an agreement to serve the ICSSR on the terms and conditions set by the ICSSR.
9. The fixed remuneration of Rs. 75,000/- per month shall be paid for active duty on this assignment. Leaves etc. shall be admissible as per the rules of ICSSR.
10. The selected candidates will be required to join immediately and be physically present at the ICSSR.
11. No accommodation is available at ICSSR, New Delhi. The selected candidates must make their own arrangements for stay.
12. Selection will be based on a walk-in interview to be held on 17th March 2026 at ICSSR.
13. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
