The Computer Division is dedicated towards strategic introduction and seamless implementation of technological advancements within the Council. The overarching goal is to optimize operational efficiency and elevate the standard of professionalism across our office environment.

Key responsibilities of the division include:

• Management of Council’s website (www.icssr.org): This involves conceptualization, design, development, and ongoing maintenance. Since 2018, the Council is receiving online applications for all ICSSR schemes via its website. The division continually enhances the online application module by incorporating new features.
• Engagement on social media platforms: The ICSSR maintains presence on prominent social media platforms, where the division regularly shares announcements and updates.
• eOffice: The division is working towards paperless office. In 2024, ICSSR implemented eOffice and the division provide support for the same.
• Management of NIC services and compliance: The division facilitates the implementation of various services offered by the National Informatics Centre, Government of India, ensuring necessary compliance measures are met.
• Internet facility: The Council have dual internet connection. The primary internet connection of 1 GBPS is through National Knowledge Network (NKN). Oversight of internet-related matters, including coordination with service providers, falls within the purview of the Computer division.
