ICSSR invites proposals from Indian academicians, researchers and scholars for organising National and International Seminars to commemorate Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary.
Eleven outstanding Janjatiya Gaurav (Tribal Pride) Seminars will be shortlisted and funded by the ICSSR in this series as a homage to the legendary freedom fighter, folk hero, and ardent proponent of nationalist spirit and enduring inspiration of Janjatiya youth – Birsa Munda (1875–1900).

1. The general guidelines of the ICSSR regarding National and International Seminars will apply to Janjatiya Gaurav (Tribal Pride) Seminars.
2. Janjatiya Gaurav Seminars must hold at least one dedicated session on the life and philosophy of Birsa Munda.
3. ICSSR may suggest the names of experts/speakers/panellists to the individual convenors in case additional inputs are required to address the theme of the seminar.
4. Full-length proceedings with complete research papers (having incorporated comments and feedback received during the seminar) are required along with the seminar report before the release of the second instalment.
5. The Seminar Convenor shall bear the responsibility of selecting high-quality research papers for the proposed theme.
6. ICSSR shall publish a multi-volume collection of selected research papers from these seminars on the contributions of Birsa Munda to the welfare of the tribal communities of Bharat.
7. ICSSR shall constitute an editorial board to select and publish a multi-volume collection of research papers on Birsa Munda and Janjatiya Bharat.
8. ICSSR shall hold the copyright for the final report and outcomes of the Janjatiya Gaurav (Tribal Pride) Seminars. Any publication or dissemination of research findings shall solely be at the discretion of the ICSSR.
