Announcement of Results of the ICSSR Doctoral Fellowships 2022-23

ICSSR is declaring the results of the provisional selections for its following four schemes of ICSSR Doctoral Fellowships for the year 2022-23:

  1. Centrally-Administered Full-Term Doctoral Fellowship
  2. Institutional Full-Term Doctoral Fellowships at ICSSR research institutes
  3. Centrally-Administered Short-Term Doctoral Fellowship
  4. Centrally-Administered Contingency Grant

The lists of the provisionally recommended awardees for the four schemes under the General (including OBC), SC and ST categories, separately, can be seen placed at Annexure I, Annexure II, Annexure III and Annexure IV, respectively.

The awardees of the three schemes of the Centrally-Administered Doctoral Fellowships shall be sent provisional Award letters through post as well as e-mail and their affiliating institution shall be informed by post. The supervisor of the awardee shall also be communicated by email.

The information for the awards of the Institutional Fellowships shall be sent directly to the concerned ICSSR research institute. The institute shall, in turn, send the Award letters to their selected scholars.

The Award letters shall be sent within a week from now.

It may be informed that these provisional selections have been made in accordance with the procedure as laid down in the ICSSR Guidelines for Doctoral Fellowship Schemes in the year 2022-23 which may be seen uploaded in the ICSSR website: www.icssr.org. The ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship Grant’s terms and conditions and monitoring shall also be as per these Guidelines.

In order to join the ICSSR Fellowship, the awardee needs to agree with these terms and conditions and submit the following documents, duly forwarded through the competent authority of the affiliating university / institute / college within 15 days of the receipt of the Award letter:

  1. The duly-forwarded hard copy of Application along-with all the prescribed documents (mentioned in Application Form at Annexure A, B and C)
  2. Joining Report as per the format
  3. Undertaking (on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100) as per the format
  4. Grant-in-aid bill/Pre-receipt bill for the first instalment of Rs. 1,30,000/- (as per the format)
  5. A self-attested copy of Ph.D. Registration Certificate
  6. A copy of Caste / Disability Certificate in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disability, duly self-attested

After receipt and acceptance of these documents by ICSSR, a formal Sanction Order for the Doctoral Fellowship grant will be issued and subsequently the fellowship grant shall be transferred through PFMS to the concerned affiliating institution.
